Health Services and Counseling

Wellness Services, located on the northwest corner of campus in the Wellness Center, delivers high quality care to full and part time Northwest students. Services are included in the cost of tuition and include:

  • Health education and promotion
  • Personal development and counseling
  • Outpatient clinical services
  • Public health services
  • Nutrition services

Health Services

Wellness Services provides clinical health services to full- and part-time students. In the fall and spring trimesters, full-time nursing and physician services are offered between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Due to decreased volume demand in the summer, fewer clinic service hours are available.

Counseling

Personal development and counseling services are provided to students at no additional charge, and include:

  • Counseling for common concerns: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, adjustment to college, body image, and more.
  • Consultation and referral services
  • Workshops and presentations

On-going Illness

If your student has a serious or chronic, physical or mental health condition, please contact Wellness Services at 660.562.1348 so we can work together to ensure your student has the resources needed to be successful.
