What to Bring to the Residence Halls, What to Leave

There is limited storage provided in the room, so wait and see how much space you will actually have before moving in too many belongings. There is no storage available outside the room.

Items in the Room

All university furnishings must remain in the room, including bed frames, mattresses, etc.

  • One extra-long twin bed per person
  • One desk and chair per person
  • One dresser per person
  • One closet per person
  • Overhead light
  • Air conditioner
  • Heater
  • Active computer network outlet for each person
  • Wi-Fi access

    Each residence hall has a kitchen/cooking area with a microwave.

Electrical items with an open coil (glows red) are not allowed in campus residence halls. You must use a power strip equipped with a surge protector or an industrial extension cord rather than the typical brown or white household extension cords.
