Visiting My Student

In the residence halls, visitation by members of the opposite gender is permitted during open and designated hours.

Escort Policy

Security and safety of each resident is a primary concern and the conduct of any guest is the responsibility of the resident being visited. As such, all guests of the opposite gender must be escorted in freshman halls during escort hours. Escort policies are in effect from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Parking

Northwest welcomes all visitors to campus and request that your host make arrangements to obtain a free Visitor parking pass for his/her guest(s) before they arrive on campus. Temporary and visitor hangtags are available 24/7 at the University Police Department in the Support Services Building.

Visitor parking permits are valid for a maximum of three (3) days unless otherwise specified by University Police. Visitors may park in any visitor, resident, commuter, or faculty/staff parking space on campus after obtaining and displaying a visitor permit on their vehicle.

Eating On-Campus

Guests/visitors may eat in any of the dining areas by paying cash. Additionally, students who have the Gold Plan or the Platinum Plan may use one of the guest passes included in their meal plan. A guest pass can be used by a friend or family member and it gives them a one time access to the Bearcat Commons on the first floor of the Student Union. Students can also pay for a guest’s meal by using their Dining Dollars. However, the student must be present for any of these charges to occur.
