Academic Success Workshops and Tutoring

The Center for Engagement and Community Connection (CECC) is committed to the academic success of all Bearcats, with a special focus on supporting students from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds. No matter your academic need, we’re here to help — whether that means connecting with a tutor, working one-on-one, or simply dropping in to study with friends. In collaboration with the Student Success Center, our goal is to help you build confidence and meaningful connections while eliminating barriers that may hinder your academic journey. We support this mission by offering a wide range of free workshops, tutoring services, and resources designed to strengthen academic skills and encourage independent learning within the university environment.

Exploring Majors and Minors
Thursday, April 16 | 4 -5 p.m. | Student Success Center

This workshop is designed to help students reflect on their academic choices and explore options that better align with their interests, strengths, and goals. Participants will learn how majors and minors connect to career pathways, how skills transfer across disciplines, and how to evaluate whether their current major still feels right. This session reinforces that if students are not fulfilled in their major, it is not too late to explore a change or adjust their path.
