What is your favorite Super Bowl commercial? If you have an answer to that, you are proof that good marketing works. To decide if this major is for you, keep reading.
Marketing is an exploding field. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, overall employment of advertising, promotions and marketing managers is projected to grow 10 percent from 2021 to 2031, faster than the average for all occupations. Talk about a high demand!
Northwest's marketing program prepares students for careers off the bat. Students learn all about advertising, selling, target groups, product availability, inventories and more. Promoting a business is a skill that not everybody has. Every company, organization and industry needs marketing to publicize and advertise products and services!
In addition to learning marketing basics, students gain profession-based learning. Knacktive – a student-run marketing and communication group – provides opportunities for students to get hands-on marketing training. For example, Knacktive partnered with Ringgold County in Iowa to create an integrated campaign that included market research, creative strategies, product planning, promotions and public relations. Cool, right?
