Dual Credit is designed for high school students who want to complete traditional college core curriculum requirements while still in high school. Students can finish a college degree faster, at a significantly discounted rate, and continue to earn high school credit.
Ninth, 10th, 11th, or 12th-grade students who meet requirements can take Dual Credit classes.
Dual Credit courses are offered in the fall and spring semesters, and some courses span the entire school year. The classes are taught online by Northwest Missouri State University faculty or in person by high school faculty to accommodate the traditional high school schedule.
For the 2022-2023 school year, tuition for face-to-face Dual Credit courses will be $97 per credit hour, and online classes will be $107 per credit hour.
All Dual Credit course fees include textbooks and a laptop!
Many of Northwest’s Dual Credit offerings are Missouri Transfer Guaranteed. Individual courses comprising the CORE 42 are guaranteed to transfer one-to-one among all Missouri public (and participating independent) colleges and universities. Look for the CORE 42 symbol in the course listings on the FAQ page.
