About Me

Hi, Bearcats!

My name is Sierra Rains, and I have been an Academic Advisor and Success Coach since 2019. I became the Lead Academic Advisor in 2024. I graduated from Northwest with a BS in Marketing and an MBA in General Management. I fell in love with the beautiful campus and the amazing people, and just decided to stick around once I finished my degrees!

I am married and have two beautiful daughters, Emilia and Della. My husband is my best friend and my greatest supporter!

You’ll find out that I am an animal fanatic, love the outdoors, and love to cook. I spend quite a bit of my time trying to new recipes and improving old ones.

Northwest has been my home for many years now, and I anticipate it will be my home for many years to come. My goal is to empower my students, help them develop connections, and encourage them to become the best versions of themselves that they can be.
