Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) Program

The Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) is a three-level co-curricular program for students: a series of learning experiences that aim to facilitate students’ self-awareness, and identity development, understanding of diverse cultural experiences, and advocacy to reduce structural inequities.

Levels can be completed simultaneously, are counted towards career pathing and completing J.E.D.I. level 1 means that you have satisfied the requirement for LEVEL 1 of the Leadership certificate.

This student-paced program offers virtual badges after each level. 

  1. Level 1 focuses on developing awareness about diversity and inclusion pitfalls and best practices.
  2. Level 2 focuses on creating an in-depth understanding of different cultures and identities.
  3. Level 3 focuses on implementing knowledge to improve intercultural experiences on campus and community.

Attend all four sessions to get full credit; make sure you check in using your digital ID for each of these learning opportunities.

All trainings are held at Student Union- Meeting Room D.

  • Implicit thoughts: Join us for a conversation about implicit thoughts and how they direct our perceptions.
    • Sept 7, 12 p.m. or Sept 21, 3 p.m.
  • Intent Vs Impact: Join us for a conversation about how implicit thoughts inform our actions and its effects.
    • Sept 7, 3 p.m.or Sept 21, 12 p.m.
  • Intercultural Competency: Join us for a conversation to understand  and respect each other across cultures.
    • Oct 5, 12 p.m. or Oct 26, 3 p.m.
  • Intersectionality: Join us for a conversation to become self and other aware of our positions in society.  
    • Oct 5, 3 p.m. or Oct 26, 12 p.m.

Attend any eight Diversity and Inclusion-related events. There are multiple opportunities to attend; click the links below to see what is available.

  • Other - If you attend another event not listed above, please include the event name, the event date, three key takeaways from the event, and your 919# and submit here.
