No English major may be enrolled in and pursue advanced English courses (numbered 300 and above) until the University and School of Language, Literature and Writing advanced standing conditions have been met. Any student with lower than a "B" in a writing course may overcome that deficiency by writing an acceptable supervised essay administered by the school. Transfer students must also write an acceptable supervised essay administered by the school.
