Apply for Housing

If this is your first time logging in to the housing system, you will need to set up your Northwest email account first. 

Housing Applications are open

1. Log in to the Housing Portal at: nwmissouri.erezlife.com
2. Click Apply for Housing
3. Click Apply Now for the Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 terms.
4. Read the application carefully, scrolling down, to complete all of the requested information.
5. Agricultural Science and Elementary Education Majors: Towards the end of the application, you have the opportunity to apply to live in a Living Learning Community for your major!
6. At the end of the application, click Save and Continue.
7. Your last step will be your application review. Read and check the boxes, then click Submit Application.

You may open the housing contract to read by clicking the terms & conditions file. It’s a bit long to read now, so once you submit your application, you will receive an email with a link to view a copy at your convenience.

The earlier you sign up for housing, the sooner you’ll be in line to choose your room in March.

1. In the left-hand menu, click My roommate profile.
2. Check the Turn on my profile box to make your profile searchable by prospective roommates!
3. Upload a picture and tell everyone about yourself. Then, decide what information you want to share with prospective roommates and enter any social media contact information you desire.
4. Click Save.

Start your roommate search!

1. In the left-hand menu, click Roommate search.
2. Click on the various criteria and select what kind of roommate you want for the criteria that are important to you.
3. Pro-Tip: Select the criteria that are important to you, but getting super-specific could limit results and hide a great potential roommate.
4. Click Search and scroll down for results. As you find people you like, add them as a contact!
5. Need to start over? Click the New search link back at the top of the search page.

Ready to lock in a roommate?

1. In the left-hand menu, click Roommate groups.
2. Click Create new roommate group.
3. Give your group a name (i.e., Maddie & Rachel)
4. Enter the Northwest email address of the student(s) you want to be your roommate (i.e., s654321@nwmissouri.edu).
5. Click Save.
6. IMPORTANT: Whoever you add to your roommate group needs to log in to the Housing Portal and check the box next to your roommate group to confirm they want to live with this person.

Room Selection

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

• Room Fill Requirement:
  • • On your selection day, you can only choose a room if you can fill all beds in that room - either by selecting with your locked-in roommate or choosing a private room for yourself.
    • If you don’t have a roommate who can fill a room with you, you will need to wait one day for open selection, when you can choose a single bed in a room with available space.

PRIVATE ROOMS 

• IMPORTANT: Private rooms can only be booked by Residential Life staff. 
• If you wish us to book you in a private room, click here to complete Private Room Booking Request. 
• You can submit your request now, but please review the information on the form.

BROWSE ROOM AVAILABILITY

You can do this now!

1. Log in to the Housing Portal
2. Under the Housing section, click Housing overview.
3. Click Browse rooms.
   • Agricultural Sciences LLC members: You will choose rooms on 1^st or 2^nd floor Tower Suites West.
   • Education LLC members: You will choose rooms 301-340 on 3^rd floor South Complex
   • Athletes – You have the option of selecting on the athlete floor! South Complex 235-263 while space lasts.
4. Click on the long bar above the rooms to navigate the buildings and floors.
   • Pro-Tip! Click Filters to help narrow your search (select only 4-person rooms, for example). Search for any of the characteristics.
   • Need a visual? Change from List-view to Floor-plan view.

5. Click the star to favorite a room (only available on list-view). Next time you log in, click Only show my favorites to see them. You can also reorder your favorites by clicking on the #1, #2, etc. buttons.

New for Freshmen in 2026–27!

• Ten 4-person suites are now available on the 3rd floor of Tower Suites East!

 TO SELECT A ROOM

1. Log in to the Housing Portal
2. Wait for your time slot to open.
3. Click Housing overview under the Housing section.
4. Click Select your room.
5. Click Select on the bed space you want.
6. Click Confirm selection.
7. To place your roommate (if applicable):
   • Select the option Yes, place my roommates now.
   • For each person, assign them to a bed space.
   • Someone missing? They may not have accepted your invitation to be in the roommate group.
8. If a select meal plan option appears, click Skip and close. Meal plan selection will not be done through the housing portal. Watch your email for details.

 Change Your Assignment after Selection

• Simply go back in and select using the same instructions above!
