Room Selection is the process when current undergraduate students (rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors) select their on-campus housing for the next academic year.
Pro-Tip: Not sure if you want to live on or off campus next year? Select a room now to have the best chance at getting your preferred housing. Cancel by April 1st and there will be no cancellation fees!
Once your selection date/time window opens for a given phase, it remains open until the next phase begins. At the end of General Room Selection, online selection will remain open to all students through 5 p.m. on the first business day after the July 4th Independence Day holiday. After this time, all assignments will be made by our office through the start of classes in August.

Open House Room Selection Night: November 7, 2023
- Tour upper-class housing options and select your room for next year all at once!
- 5-7 p.m. Tours depart from the Station.
Same Room Selection: October 23 - Nov. 8, 2023
- For students who want to select their same room next year
Same Hall, Different Room Selection
- Students that want to stay in the same building but select a different room.
- Nov. 9, 2023:
- 8 a.m. - Current Seniors and Graduate Students select
- 1 p.m. - Current Juniors select
- Nov. 10, 2023:
- 8 a.m. - Current Sophomores select
- 1 p.m. - Current freshmen select
General Room Selection with Room Fill Requirement
- Any available space can be selected, but students must be able to fill the living unit they select.
- Any current Northwest student may select. They do not need to be currently living on campus.
- Nov. 13, 2023
- 8 a.m.: Current Seniors and Graduate Students select
- 1 p.m.: Current Juniors select
- Nov. 14, 2023
- 8 a.m.: Current Sophomore select
- 1 p.m.: Current Freshmen select
