Why Study International Business at Northwest

International business is more prevalent now than ever. Throughout this program, students receive support from faculty who have excellent credentials and experience in the field as well as being recipients of Faculty Excellence Awards and the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Their expertise translates to the classroom and gives students real-world scenarios with which students can resonate. Students will learn about international politics, managing international teams, economics, and marketing.

Northwest's International Business major is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Profession-Based Learning Experiences

New Venture Pitch Competition

The New Venture Pitch Competition is designed for ambitious students and aspiring entrepreneurs to present curated ideas to business professionals, small business owners and potential investors. Students present their ideas to judges who, in the future, could represent their boss or client.

Student Organizations

Delta Mu Delta (DMD) is the business administration national honor society. To be eligible for membership, students should be of junior standing and in the upper 20 percent of their class.

Student Organizations

Students experience a realistic, agency-like atmosphere as they work with multiple teammates on a promotional campaign plan for an actual client. The competing teams conduct research, analyze data, devise a strategy, formulate tactics and ultimately make a formal presentation of their plan to the client.
