Why Study Teaching: English at Northwest

The M.S. Ed. in English is for students seeking Teaching Certification along with a graduate degree. A member of the graduate faculty in Education will serve as the primary advisor for M.S. Ed. students, and the English graduate advisor will serve as the subject area advisor.

Students seeking the M.S. Ed. will complete the Department of Language, Literature, and Writing portfolio and oral defense as well as the required final assessment for the Department of Language, Literature, and Writing. These will be evaluated separately.
