Dare to Self-Care

Location:  Student Union, 3rd Floor (meeting room sometimes varies)

Time:  11 - 11:50 a.m., Thursdays


Topics include self-care, nutrition, stress, sleep, purpose, goal setting, home remedies.

Grief Share Group

Location:  Station

Time:  11 - 11:50 a.m., 1st Friday of the month

Most people experience grief or loss at some point during their college career. This group provides a safe and caring environment where students may come together to receive guidance and support during difficult times of loss. Loss is an inclusive term and can be defined in a variety of ways, including but not limited to, death of a loved one, a recent break-up or significant life changes. This event is open to students only.

Guided Mindfulness

Location:  North Complex (follow the signs)

Time:  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 12:00-12:30

Mindfulness is a mental state that involves being fully focused on "the now" so a person can accept their thoughts, feelings and sensations without judgment. It is a state of relaxed concentration and being in the present moment while working towards self-awareness. The purpose is mental, emotional and physical healing as well as day-to-day stress relief.

Learning mindfulness meditation is straightforward. It is a practice, so it's never about being perfect! Guided mindfulness entails a facilitator providing direction and leading individuals through a series of steps in a quiet and comfortable space. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery and other practices to relax the body and mind. Especially useful for beginners, guided mindfulness takes the guesswork out of the mechanics of practice.

Location:  Station

Time:  2 - 3 p.m., Tuesdays

Social connections are interwoven in every part of your life. This workshop series will focus on topics, such as improving communication skills, making new friends, defining healthy relationships, addressing roommate conflict, and much more! This event is open to students, faculty and staff.

Stress Busters

Location:  Station

Time:  4 - 4:45 p.m., Mondays

Learn to recognize and effectively manage stress in fun, healthy ways!  All students, faculty and staff are welcome.

Wellness Wednesday

Location:  Varies Depending on Topic

Time:  8 - 9 p.m., Wednesdays (and sometimes Thursdays)


Topics include stress, sleep, resiliency, flourish, yoga, nutrition, career closet and more.
