Northwest Missouri State University has partnered with HazAdapt to make safety and preparedness easier for students, employees, and visitors.
HazAdapt is a free smartphone app that provides step-by-step safety instructions for more than 60 different hazards, including severe weather, interpersonal hazards, mental health, and active threat situations. The guides are designed for the public, giving you clear, practical actions you can take in the moment.
The app also connects directly to Northwest resources, including University Police, the Wellness Center, Title IX, and conduct reporting. You will find quick-access contacts, helpful links, and support services all in one trusted place.
Beyond hazard guides, HazAdapt includes Prep Checks, which are interactive tools to see how ready you are for different emergencies, and it keeps you connected to resources you can use every day to build resilience.
HazAdapt works even when cell service is down, so you always have guidance at your fingertips.
