Base Assets
Base Assets are page and asset examples available in every CMS site. They are are useful for a variety of purposes: use as a tool for understanding page layout, take a look at how sections work together, and use as a starting point for building new pages/projects - this allows for better consistency throughout a site and less work to get up and running.
Asset factories
Asset Factories allow users to implement new assets with certain configurations and/or content already in place. Asset Factories can be set up and used to create assets from scratch or be based on an existing pre-configured base asset. More on asset factories from Cascade CMS Knowledge Base.
