He has appeared at conferences for the European Piano Teachers' Association (EPTA), the Music Teachers' National Association (MTNA), The American Liszt Society, the World Piano Conference, and the College Music Society (CMS)
• Has presented various topics for music teacher associations, including:
  • The lives of Isaac Albeniz, Louis Moreau Gottschalk
  • Beethoven's arrangements of British folksongs
  • Piano music for the left hand alone
  • Pauline Viardot's vocal arrangements of Chopin mazurkas
  • Use of folksongs in the piano music of 19th century America
  • Liszt's transcriptions of Schubert songs
  • Taught masterclasses (piano and chamber music)
