My research focus lies on fostering access, representation, and empowerment in art education. I highlight the underrepresentation of artists, artworks, and experiences of people of color in art education, with a particular emphasis on Asian and Asian American perspectives. I am invested in curriculum development that encourages students to connect their lived experiences with the course content, critically reflect on their learning, and engage with social issues. In addition, I explore how digital tools can enhance curriculum design and foster meaningful connections between learners and artmaking.
