History of Line Dancing

This event will offer accessible, step-by-step tutorials in a welcoming environment. Participants of all experience levels are invited to learn, move and build community through dance.

African American line dancing is rooted in rhythm, storytelling and community. Influenced by African dance traditions and Black social dance practices, it has long served as a joyful way to connect, express identity and bring people together across generations.
