His book, "Radical Hope: A Teaching Manifesto," has become a must-read guide for faculty seeking to transform student learning experiences.

At Northwest, Gannon will lead a series of drop-in sessions open to all faculty and instructional staff. These interactive workshops will give participants hands-on strategies to strengthen student engagement, motivation and persistence, which are the very tools that drive students toward successful completion of their degrees.

Northwest faculty who join Gannon’s sessions will:

  • Learn how to create classrooms where every student thrives.
  • Gain proven methods to boost engagement and motivation through active learning.
  • Explore practical tools for helping students overcome barriers and stay on track to graduation.
  • Leave inspired with fresh approaches that elevate both teaching and student outcomes.

This one-day event is part of Northwest’s ongoing strategy to empower faculty with innovative approaches that directly impact student success, retention, and degree completion.
