Career Day is a time for candidates to meet with a variety of employers and graduate school program representatives to discuss internship and full-time employment opportunities.

Employer Registration Information

Registration includes: Admittance/breakfast for 2 attendees, 1 six-foot table, and 2 chairs.

Early bird: $250 through January 31, 2025 at 5 PM CST
Standard: $275 beginning January 31, 2025 at 5 PM CST
Government or Non-Profit: $100
School Districts: $100

Electricity is a $50 charge.

Students do not need to register for the event. 


Career Day Registration

Register by February 21, 2025 to be included in all promotional materials.

No refunds for cancellation/no-show after February 21, 2025.

SCHEDULE FOR CAREER DAY EVENT

8 am – 9 am  Check-in and set-up
8 am – 9 am  Breakfast - for employers only
9 am – 1 pm  Career Day
1 pm   Booth tear down may begin, lunch voucher available
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm  Interviewing spots available in the Student Union

DIRECTIONS TO HUGHES FIELDHOUSE

The Hughes Fieldhouse is located near the corner of N Country Club Road and College Avenue.

LOADING/UNLOADING/PARKING

The loading and unloading zone is directly south of the building. Student volunteers will be available to help you with your materials. Pull into lots 62 or 63 and drive towards the Fieldhouse to access the loading/unloading area. View Parking Map »

Please park in lots 62 & 63, no parking permits are necessary during the event in this lot. Handicapped parking spaces are available. 

BREAKFAST

A hearty breakfast will be available for employers/vendors and school districts from 8 am to 9 am in the Hughes Fieldhouse.

CAREER DAY

Career Day begins promptly at 9 am and runs until 1 pm. Booths may not be torn down before 1 pm. Coffee, soda, and water will be available throughout the event. Employers and school districts are strongly encouraged to remain set up for the entire event.

INTERVIEWING

All employers are invited to stay and utilize our facilities to conduct interviews. Interview spaces are available on the afternoon of Career Day, as well as the following day.

When you arrive at Career Day, a packet will be on your table that includes details about interviews, as well as scheduling forms that can be used for either/both days. If you would like to reserve a space to interview, please bring your completed schedule to the check-in table at the conclusion of Career Day, so we may make a copy, provide you with a lunch ticket, and direct you to your interviewing spot in the Student Union. Forms will also be provided for you to hand to the student so they are aware of where/when the interview will take place.

SHIPPING MATERIALS TO CAMPUS

If you need to ship materials to campus they will be at your booth when you arrive.

Student Event Information

Students do not need to register for the event. There is no cost for students to attend.

CHECK-IN

Doors will open at 9 am. Please bring your Bearcat card for faster check-in. Students will also be able to sign in using their 919 number. Students will be able to print a nametag to wear at the event at check-in.

PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE

Students are encouraged to visit the Career Closet prior to the event to find professional attire. All clothing and accessories are available at no cost. More information on professional attire can be found on the interviewing webpage.

RESUMES

Students are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes to Career Day to share with employers. Career Services is able to help students with resumes prior to the event Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm in Admin 130. We also have online resources to help with resume creation.
