Family

When I'm not working with my outstanding students, my husband Daniel and I are chasing our four children, Carter, Harper, Cooper, and Kemper around to their activities. I enjoy being involved in a wide variety of community events and service opportunities as well as reading, camping, fishing, and sewing in my spare time.

Northwest / Community Involvement

I have been a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2015, serving on the Mentor committee. I am a member of the Junior League of St. Joseph and have served on the State Advisory Board for Nebraska MADD. As a principal, I am a member of the Missouri and National Associations of Secondary School Principals and am the President of the Northwest region.

Interests / Hobbies

I enjoy being involved in a wide variety of community events and service opportunities as well as reading, camping, fishing, and sewing in my spare time. Right now, most of that is on hold as I complete a Doctorate in Education through the University of Missouri-Columbia and Northwest Missouri State.

Special Memories of Northwest

My favorite memories of Northwest are my first day as an on campus student and my last day as an on campus student at Commencement. Every day in between including Homecoming pomping, attending every home and away football game all the way to Florence, Alabama in 2005, and late night Dominos deliveries were great, but the first and last days stick out. It was then that I realized the full extent of the friends, colleagues, professors, and family that I would have as a support and resource for the rest of my life. I know first-hand that the “Northwest Family” is not just a catchy slogan on a recruiting pamphlet but truly an attitude of every person on campus. Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat!

Activities or Organizations Involved In While Attending Northwest

While on campus I was involved in many organizations including Sigma Society, AAFCS, KON, as well as being an RA in Phillips Hall and working at the Early Childhood Center at Horace Mann.
