Welcome to Course Number and Name!
Today is day one of our semester name course. I am looking forward to working with you. Being engaged with the course, your classmates, and with me is the best way to succeed in this course! Please reach out for anything that you might need. I am here to assist you in being successful.
It is important to become familiar with the course site, so please look at the first module. Also, you should be enrolled in the Northwest Online (Canvas) student orientation course which should help you in better understanding how Canvas works. Please bookmark the Canvas page to your favorite browser as soon as possible.
Remember, if you have questions about the activities or due dates for this course, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am available by contact method and will respond to student questions within communication turnaround time. You are also welcome to visit me during my office hours (office hour details).
I am here to support you and help you be successful in this course. I would like the opportunity to speak with you one-on-one this week, so look for a message from me scheduling some time together. If you run into any questions or issues during our first week, please contact me.
Good Luck!
Getting to Know You
In this discussion, please introduce yourself to the class. Include your name, major, and one interesting item about yourself.
This is an example of a welcome to class video created by Dr. Brooke McAtee.
You can either add in your video picture to the recording or just use audio and a presentation.
