The Learning & Teaching Center's mission is to support faculty in exploring and experiencing new approaches to delivery and student engagement in educational content. Start a learning community with two or three colleagues. Set your mission and goal, and let the LTC partner with your learning community to help you succeed. See the currently active learning communities. Examples for learning communities could include project-based, problem based, profession-based, team-based learning and gamification which engage students in real world situations.
Northwest prides itself on providing students with meaningful and rigorous learning opportunities through academic and other educational, co-curricular experiences. These opportunities are integrated into the Northwest Core, which is the foundation of student life at the university. To assist faculty in their development of the Core curriculum, Northwest has established learning communities centered on the Northwest Core content groups.
