The Graduate Assistant (GA) Orientation was created for the Graduate Office to help in the onboarding process for new graduate assistants. This web application was created by our student programmers and is a smaller edited version of the Student Employment Orientation. By completing the orientation successfully, the new employees are ready to begin their service. The GA Orientation as well as the Student Employment orientation, there is an underlying database to record the employee interactions and completion. There is also an administrator’s module that is used to monitor the students’ progress.
The basic components of each application are created with Articulate Storyline, content creation software. In both applications, the new employees must interact with the application by agreeing to follow set policies for the university, viewing videos for process demonstration and campus safety, and take a knowledge quiz over the content of the videos.

The quiz at the end ensures the participant understands the important parts of the videos.
