What are Acts of Intolerance or Bias?
Acts of Intolerance or Bias are language, behaviors, actions or expressions that are motivated, at least in part, by prejudice against or hostility toward a person (or group) because of that person’s (or group’s) actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, ancestry, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other legally-protected status.
An example of bias might be graffiti appearing on the wall of a commonly used space on campus.
