Get Involved

Almost all of our students are involved in an agricultural organization; many are in several. Whatever your interests are, you will find that the groups within the school will give you plenty of opportunities to make new friends, enhance your education and simply have a lot of fun.

Ag Ambassadors

Ag Ambassadors are a group of agriculture majors chosen according to special criteria. They promote Northwest and the School of Agricultural Sciences at national and state FFA conventions and various community and campus events. They also give tours of the school's facilities to prospective students.

Agronomy Club

Membership in Agronomy Club is open to all students interested in crops and soils. The group sponsors speakers, field trips, and scholarships.

Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR)

Alpha Gamma Rho is a national professional fraternity for men who intend to pursue a career in Agriculture. AGR has had one of the highest Greek GPA on campus in recent years.

ATA/CFFA

Alpha Tau Alpha (ATA) is an honorary organization for Agriculture Education majors. It enables members to develop professional and leadership skills. ATA has expanded to include the Collegiate FFA.

Block and Bridle

Block and Bridle is an animal science focused organization that strives to provide members an opportunity to promote agriculture and forge new relationships through multiple livestock, social and community service events.

Collegiate Farm Bureau

The organization discusses agricultural issues of today, hosts guest speakers, and works with Farm Bureau Chapters on county, state, and national levels.

Delta Tau Alpha (DTA)

Open to students in the top 35 percent of their class who have completed 12 hours of agriculture courses, DTA is an agricultural honor society. It promotes high standards of scholarship, leadership and character among agriculture students.

Northwest Collegiate Cattlemen's Association

The association's purpose is to advance the economic, educational political and social interests of the Missouri Cattle Industry.

Pre-Vet Club

Pre-Vet Club is dedicated to bringing future veterinary students together to help each other succeed in the future. The goal of this club is to get students a bit more prepared for Vet School.

Sigma Alpha

As a professional agricultural sorority, Sigma Alpha promotes women in agriculture and strengthens the bonds of friendship among them. Members strive for achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service.
