Northwest Missouri State University’s Tourin’ Bearcats, a travel program for alumni and friends, is now accepting reservations for its next tour to experience Rome and the Amalfi Coast.
The excursion, which is scheduled for May 25 through June 3 in 2026, will feature visits to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Imperial Fora, Pompeii and Sorrento as well as a winery and farmhouse.
Prices begin at $5,999 per person, and a $698 deposit is due at the time of reservation. The early deposit deadline is Sept. 19, 2025, with final payment due Feb. 24, 2026.
The trip includes transportation to and from Maryville to Kansas City International Airport, round-trip airfare, and meals consisting of eight breakfasts, one lunch and four dinners.
Rates are based on double occupancy and departure from Kansas City International Airport and include taxes, fees and hotel transfers. Cancellation waiver and insurance are available for purchase. All rates are per person and subject to change.

Most recently, the Tourin’ Bearcats sponsored a trip in June to Switzerland and Northern Italy, giving travelers an opportunity to explore Zurich, Zermatt, St. Moritz and Lucerne with a scenic rail trip through the Bernina Pass and a cruise on Lake Maggiore.
“Our Northwest alumni and friends don’t realize how wonderful an experience these trips can be until they take the journey with us,” Northwest Director of Alumni Relations Duane Havard said. “The stories, laughter and smiles shared during these trips are part of the wonderful adventure our participants enjoy.”
