About Our Fellowing Services

Writing fellows are writing tutors that are immersed in the classroom dynamic. Their presence in the classroom enhances tutoring techniques because of the positive interactions with the student population while having an innate understanding of both the subject material and the writing assignment. Writing fellows are available to on a case-by-case basis to support writing activities in academic classroom. Please contact the Writing Center Coordinator, Stancy Bond, at stancy@nwmissouri.edu or 816.344.6220 to apply for a fellow.

Fellowing appointments focus on improving your writing process and developing your writing strategies. Your tutor will work with you to identify your strengths and weakness as a writer and work with you to improve both your current Introduction to College Writing paper and overall writing ability

Fellowing Appointments

• Must be scheduled
• Available in 20 minute blocks
• Available in-person or online through Zoom
• Focus on the writing process and writing strategies
• Email your assignment description and paper to your fellow before your appointment
