Testimonials

Exciting, Adventure, Culture.

Jessica Giles: Scotland

  • I went to Scotland, and it was an exciting experience since it was my first time traveling outside of the country. Throughout the process, I felt supported and taken care of. People were helpful, and I was always informed, which made the experience less stressful and more enjoyable.
  • Personally, it gave me confidence in trying new things and adapting to a new environment. Socially, I was able to meet new people and connect with different cultures, which made me more open-minded. Academically, it encouraged me to see learning from a new perspective and motivated me to keep challenging myself.
  • One of my favorite memories is when I went on a beautiful hike at Arthurs Seat in Edinburgh.
  • I plan to finish student teaching in Finland on another study abroad trip.

Exciting, unforgettable, life-changing.

Andrea Peralta: South Korea

  • I felt like during the process of traveling abroad, I was able to get my questions answered and get the help I needed.
  • I have always wanted to not only do study abroad but travel abroad in general, and it really has expanded my knowledge about other cultures. It has pushed my drive more to explore other countries. I was able to step more out of my comfort zone and make great connections and relationships with other people.
  • One of my favorite memories was visiting Busan and Seoul with my program and group of friends
  • I would love to go again. I have plans in the future to go back to South Korea as well as other countries on my bucket list.

Adventurous, Eye-opening, and Enriching.

Ava Ellison: Italy

  • Traveling abroad made me feel supported while also encouraging independence. The faculty created a safe and helpful environment that allowed us to step outside our comfort zones.
  • Traveling to Reggio Emilia had a profound impact on my philosophy of early childhood education. It gave me a clearer sense of the kind of teacher I want to be and the steps I need to take to get there. Personally, I loved immersing myself in a new culture, it helped me realize how passionate I am about exploring and traveling.
  • One of my favorite memories was taking a ferry across Lake Como to Bellagio. I've never seen anything more beautiful! The weather was perfect, and the lake was stunning. Bellagio quickly became one of my favorite towns. It had so many charming little shops, and I still remember buying a pair of handmade glass earrings from a local store!
  • Absolutely! Everyone on the trip kept saying how much we want to go back to Italy someday! While I don't have another trip planned just yet, I know I'll return at some point. There's so much more I want to see and experience.

Eye-opening, unforgettable, and inspiring.

Emilia Ramanauskas: Spain

  • I felt completely supported even though I traveled alone. The program I went with, WorldStrides, and the IIC were always available to answer my questions, which made the entire process smooth, easy, and worry-free.
  • Traveling has helped me grow in countless ways. Personally, it gave me the chance to discover more about myself and become more confident navigating new environments. Socially, it allowed me to build lifelong friendships with people from around the world. Academically, I gained a new perspective by experiencing what education is like outside of the United States.
  • I have so many memories that I cherish from my month in Spain, but one memory that really stands out to me was my weekend in Valencia with my study abroad program and friends. We spent the weekend surfing, eating paella, and exploring the beautiful city and it was unforgettable.
  • YES! I loved my experience so much I plan on going back to Spain next summer and I am beyond excited for what's ahead.

Passion. Growth. Sentimental.

Jin Fitzmaurice: Ireland

  • I found this study abroad trip from going to the study abroad fair happening on campus. Going into college I already knew I wanted to study abroad, I just didn't know how exactly.
  • Travelling has helped me grow so much. I got interested in travel during Covid, and because of that, decided to go on a high school trip to New York. I met the best, most passionate people on that trip, and realized traveling was a way to see the world and meet people. I love meeting new people, talking with them, and learning about life and how different life is for people.
  • My favorite memory from my Ireland trip was probably the day when I got my ears pierced, then went around town with the group exploring Dublin, talking to other travelers, and getting Irish chocolates!
  • I absolutely would go to Ireland again, but would also love to visit another country as well.
