Residence Hall Student Staff

ARD's - Assistant Resident Directors

The ARD is a paraprofessional staff member responsible for assisting a Resident Director or Coordinator with the overall administration of a residence hall including sole responsibility for all front desk operations.  The ARD is an experienced student staff member who is looking for new challenges and opportunities in Residential Life.  The ARD is expected to offer assistance and expertise to ultimately provide an educational and developmental experience for residents and staff.

RA's - Resident Assistants

RA's live on each floor of our residence halls.  Their primary role is to help build community on their floor and throughout the building.  RAs are there to assist you with finding resources solve your needs, assist in conflict mediation, present events and program opportunities and confront policy violations.

SA's - Student Assistants

SA's maintain many of the same job responsibilities of a Resident Assistant.  However, SA's are placed in Forest Village Apartments and Roberta Hall.  Both buildings are considered special populations being housed on campus.  Therefore, student assistants in Roberta Hall have additional training in working with sororities housed on campus and student assistants in FVA have additional training in working with students as they prepare to transition to life off-campus.

IA's - Inclusion Assistants

IA's live and work in our residence halls to facilitate diversity education and promote an enriching environment by providing programming and resources for students that will stimulate an active interest in other cultures and interconnect as a community.

DA's - Desk Attendants

DA's are students who work the front desks of each of our residence halls.  They provide assistance by answering questions, checking out equipment, performing mail service, taking maintenance requests, provide lockout services, and more.
