Northwest students wear the Bearcat paw with pride. Not only are we four-time national champs in men’s basketball and six-time national champs in football, but our culture is one that uplifts students by celebrating major accomplishments throughout their college journey.

Game day in Maryville is a one-of-a-kind experience. Students have free admission to all athletic events! We have a six-time national champion football team, a four-time national champion men’s basketball team and so much more.
Bobby Bearcat has been our mascot since 1916, and can be found with the cheerleaders at home football and basketball games and other university events.
