Northwest Missouri State University is excited to announce, beginning for fall 2027, undergraduate students from Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska who enroll for coursework on our Maryville campus are guaranteed in-state rates throughout their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree on campus.
The In-State Guarantee is more than a tuition benefit. It's part of our commitment to put students first and help you reach graduation.

No special scholarship application. No minimum GPA requirement to qualify and automatic renewal for the in-state rate. Northwest is making it easier to pursue your college goals.

Undergraduate students who are residents of Iowa, Kansas or Nebraska and enroll at Northwest's Maryville campus are eligible for the In-State Guarantee program.

Yes! Current undergraduate students from Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska who remain enrolled at Northwest's Maryville campus beginning in fall 2027 will be eligible for the In-State Guarantee.
Yes. Any undergraduate student enrolled at the Maryville campus from Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska is eligible for the In-State Guarantee program, beginning in fall 2027.
The In-State Guarantee program waives 100% of the “Out-of-State Differential” tuition charge, currently a $9,000 value annually for 30 credit hours. Students will see a credit on their bill equal to the Out-of-State Differential tuition charge. Actual student savings will depend on actual enrollment and applicable tuition charges.
The In-State Guarantee program will replace Bearcat Advantage for students from Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska and provides additional benefits to students. The In-State Guarantee program automatically renews if undergraduate, campus enrollment continues. This provides needed financial predictability to students from Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska and shows our continued commitment to student success and degree completion.
Yes. The In-State Guarantee program is stackable with other Northwest scholarships and financial awards.
No. The In-State Guarantee applies to tuition and standard fees. Students remain responsible for course fees, housing, meals, and other educational expenses.
Yes. The In-State Guarantee automatically renews each year you remain enrolled as an eligible undergraduate student on Northwest’s Maryville campus.
No. There is no additional scholarship application or annual renewal application required.
The In-State Guarantee is designed to support eligible students throughout their undergraduate enrollment at Northwest's Maryville campus, helping provide financial predictability as they work toward completing their degree.
No. The In-State Guarantee is intended to support continued undergraduate enrollment. Students remain subject to Northwest's academic policies and enrollment requirements, but there is not a specific GPA requirement to renew the In-State Guarantee.
