Northwest students are Career Ready. Day One.

Be involved. Do the uncomfortable things, like going to a professor’s office hours or maybe go to a club that you didn’t think you would originally go to. Those things will reap the benefits later down the road.

The Northwest Experience

Applying statistics and analyzing data in the sports world was a dream job for Jacob. After an internship suggested by a faculty member led him to the banking industry, he realized his skills in mathematics and statistics had multiple business applications.

Jacob interned at Bank of Oklahoma Financial in Tulsa, Oklahomawhere he was a consumer data analyst and worked to identify customer tendencies to determine fraudulent accounts. The knowledge, resources and leadership skills he gained in Northwest courses helped him make the data manageable and translate it into a model that could be more easily understood, saving the bank time and money.

Jacob enjoyed the small class sizes at Northwest and learning from faculty who tailored course content to fit the needs of students, ensuring he graduatecareer ready, day one.
