The Northwest Experience

Alia says Northwest faculty and fellow students gave her courage to go beyond her comfort zone and become active both in and out of the classroom. Alia’s major classes were among her favorite aspects of being a student at Northwest. Her favorite class, marketing, allowed her to explore all the opportunities her area of study had to offer.

Alia gives credit to the Northwest faculty for pushing her to become career ready. Her instructors showed her the many resources campus has to offer, such as Career Services and the Student Success Center, along with providing updates for job and internship opportunities. By utilizing these resources, Alia felt more confident she would be successful after graduation and be career ready, day one.

I feel like Northwest has changed me in a way to realize we are all as one. We are all here to support each other. I have so many faculty, friends and organizations that are here to support me, big or small, even after I graduate.  - Alia Irvin
