Let's cover some commonly asked questions!
The Student Senate is the voice of the student body. It exists to initiate consideration of student problems and to communicate action or recommendation to the designated school authorities. We also appropriate funds to organizations on a first come, first serve basis.
Anyone! If you are a student at Northwest and hold a 2.5 GPA, you are eligible. You also may join at anytime by applying for Associate Membership. Associate Membership consists of half the work a normal Senator would do. These duties include:

There may be openings between trimesters due to scheduling conflicts with our Tuesday night meetings, thus, some senators choose to resign. Elections are held at the beginning of the Fall semester every year and then at the end of the Spring semester. The Executive Offices are voted on during the Spring elections.
