Northwest Missouri State University music ensembles are conducting auditions for the 2019-20 academic year, and all Northwest students are invited to participate.
Northwest students participating in music ensembles may receive academic or activity credit.
Dates and locations of Northwest music ensembles and auditions are provided below with links to more information.
Auditions for Northwest’s Jazz Ensemble and Studio Jazz Ensemble are Sunday, Aug. 18, through Tuesday, Aug. 20. A sign-up sheet will be posted one week prior to auditions outside of Room 116 of the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.

The University Chorale is a large choral organization open to all students at Northwest. The Chorale presents a concert each semester, and its repertoire ranges from classical to gospel, and contemporary to Broadway. There is no audition requirement for membership in the Chorale.
Any student interested in becoming a member of Tower Choir or the Madraliers, which becomes the Celebration show choir during the spring semester, must audition. Auditions for Tower Choir and Madraliers/Northwest Celebration are Saturday, Aug. 17 through Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Auditions for the Wind Symphony are Saturday, Aug. 17 for brass and percussion and Sunday, Aug. 18, for woodwinds.

Auditions for Orchestra Strings are Monday, Aug. 19, from 6-8 p.m. in Fine Arts Building Room 241. A sign-up sheet will be posted one week before auditions near the door of Room 116.
Wind and percussion placements will be based on Wind Symphony audition results.
