Northwest Foundation welcomes 6 new members

Connie Bowen is an entrepreneur and business owner residing in Gentry, Arkansas. After 32 years in sales and operations roles with Tyson Foods, she now operates Bowen Bookkeeping and Yum Yo’s Frozen Treats.

A friend of Northwest, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas. Her other service activities include work with United Way, children’s and women’s shelters, Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, Susan G. Komen, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Arkansas affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and PurpleStride Northwest Arkansas.

Andrew Loos is a resident of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and has served as the owner of Heartland Cremation and Burial Society for 25 years. He also operates Cremation Consulting and is recognized as a leading authority in the cremation profession.

He completed his bachelor’s degree in public relations in 1991 at Northwest, where he was active in the Delta Chi fraternity and was a member of the Bearcat cheerleading team.

Jay Meacham resides in Liberty, Missouri, and is an entrepreneur working as a business, life and leadership coach with A Little Up LLC. He previously worked in business operations for 28 years with DST Output and for four years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1987 from Northwest, where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity, resident assistant and student ambassador. His community involvement includes service as an ordained deacon for the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph.

Dannen Merrill is a lifelong Maryville resident who is employed as a partner and certified public accountant with Merrill, Espey and Washburn and as an investment adviser with Cetera Financial Specialists LLC.

He earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and emergency and disaster management in 2015 from Northwest, where he was active as a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, the Homecoming Executive Board and Order of Omega. He has served on the Maryville City Council since 2021, which included a two-year term as mayor, and as the treasurer for both the Maryville Downtown Improvement Organization and the American Legion Boys State of Missouri.

Angelo Savaiano resides in LeClaire, Iowa, where he is retired after a 32-year career in corporate sales. He remains active with his consulting business, Savy Solutions LLC, and through his involvement with the St. John Vianney Men’s Fellowship, Knights of Columbus and a business incubator program.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in health education in 1972 and a master’s degree in secondary school administration in 1974, both from Northwest, where he also was active with the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity and a member of the Bearcat baseball team.

Kim Massey Cole resides in Overland Park, Kansas, and is employed as director of marketing for alliance programs with Ameriprise Financial Services.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwest in accounting in 1993. In addition to her involvement with Northwest’s Black Alumni and Friends Chapter, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Ray’s Awareness Foundation and is active with Harvester’s, Veronica’s Voice and Meals on Wheels.
