Steele crowned Homecoming king, Fisher is queen

Northwest Missouri State University crowned Riley Steele and Abby Fisher as its 2025 Homecoming king and queen Thursday night during the University’s annual Variety Show.

Steele is a senior psychology major from Kansas City, Missouri. He is active on campus as a member of Interfraternity Council, Pi Kappa Alpha, Student Activities Council, Student Ambassadors, Involvement Ambassadors and the Honors Program.

Fisher is a senior from Ashland, Nebraska, who is majoring in biology with a biomedical sciences emphasis. She is active in Panhellenic Council, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Student Senate, Tri-Beta and Society of Presidential Scholars in addition to serving as a General Zoology supplemental instructor and Principles of Bio Lab teaching assistant.

This year’s Homecoming prince is Brooks Nally; he attends transitional kindergarten at Northwest’s Horace Mann Laboratory School and is the son of Trent and Chloe Nally. The Homecoming princess is Piper Plackemeier; she attends kindergarten at Eugene Field Elementary School in Maryville and is the daughter of Hans and Whitney Plackemeier.

Northwest undergraduate students selected the king and queen during online voting Oct. 13-21. The remainder of the 2025 Homecoming court appears below.
