Seipel elected to serve on Missouri Association for the Education of Young Children executive board

Dr. Sandra Seipel, an assistant professor of professional education and coordinator of early childhood programs at Northwest Missouri State University, recently was elected to serve as secretary of the Missouri Association for the Education of Young Children (MOAEYC).

MOAEYC is a state affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is a national organization representing early childhood care and education. NAEYC is focused on improving the well-being of all children from birth to age 8 with emphasis on the quality of educational and developmental services.

Seipel joined the Northwest faculty in 2014. She obtained a Doctorate of Education in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She holds an educational specialist degree in principalship as well as a master’s degree in educational technology and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education, all from Northwest. She teaches early childhood undergraduate and graduate courses at the University.
