Northwest schedules utility service disruptions June 1-4


Northwest Missouri State University has scheduled utility service disruptions on its Maryville campus Tuesday, June 1, through Friday, June 4, for the purpose of upgrading electrical infrastructure.

During the above dates, electricity will be unavailable in the following campus buildings:

  • Administration Building
  • Botany Lab
  • Dieterich Hall
  • Franken Hall
  • Garrett-Strong Science Building
  • Millikan Hall
  • The Station
  • Tower Suites 

 

Staff who regularly work in these buildings will work remotely or in the following alternate locations:

  • Student Account Services and Payroll: University Police Department conference room
  • TRIO: J.W. Jones Student Union Meeting Room D
  • Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Assistance, Registrar, Graduate Office, Associate Provost of Graduate and Professional Studies, Associate Provost and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences: B.D. Owens Library

 

The University community also should be aware of the following service disruptions:

  • Cashiering will not process in-person payments. All payments must be made online using the Accounts Payment Center.
  • No Accounts Payable check run on Thursday, June 3; documents received by Monday, May 24, will be processed per the normal accounts payable check run schedule. The next check run will be Thursday, June 10; documents received by Monday, June 7, will be processed per the normal account payable check run schedule. All documents received must have proper signatures and complete documentation to be processed per the timelines.
  • Campus mail will be held at the Mail/Copy Center for buildings impacted by the utility disruption. Employees may pick up incoming mail or drop off outgoing mail at the Mail/Copy Center, or contact 562.1109 or email mailcpy@nwmissouri.edu to make other arrangements. All other routes will maintain their regular schedule.
  • Campus packages will be held at the Materials Distribution Center. Employees may pick up incoming packages or drop off outgoing packages at the Materials Distribution Center, or contact 562.1508 or email nwmdc@nwmissouri.edu.
  • Textbook Services will be closed for textbook checkouts during the week of May 31 and will reopen Monday, June 7. Students who are enrolled in second or third block courses and need a textbook should visit Textbook Services before May 31 or after June 7. Textbooks may be returned at the Materials Distribution Center during the closure. For more information, contact Textbook Services at nwtxbk@nwmissouri.edu.
