Northwest art program to showcase faculty artwork


Northwest Missouri State University’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts is highlighting artwork created by its faculty during its first exhibit of 2021.

The annual faculty art exhibit opens Monday, Jan. 11, and concludes Friday, Jan. 29. The work of seven faculty members is featured in the Olive DeLuce Art Gallery at the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.

The featured artists are:

  • Veronica Watkins, ceramic vessels and wall pieces
  • Feixue Mei, video
  • Miranda Jackson, digital photography and mixed media
  • Sarah Sipling, prints
  • Dr. Michael Faris, monoprints and drawings
  • Thomas LaPann, mixed media and stone carving
  • Armin Mühsam, works on paper

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Visitors may visit the office in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or call 660.562.1326 to view the exhibit.
