About the Tower Choir

The Northwest Tower Choir, conducted by Professor of Music Dr. Stephen Town, is an auditioned ensemble and performs choral music of all periods and styles. Dr. Jiwon Choi accompanies the choir on piano.

Under Town’s direction, the Tower Choir has been selected by peer reviewers to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference (2003, 2010, 2015, 2020) and at the Nebraska Music Educators Association Conference (2011, 2014, 2017). In 2011, the Tower Choir was selected by the National Collegiate Choral Organization peer review committee to perform at its prestigious national convention in Fort Collins, Colorado. Other appearances include a premiere concert at Carnegie Hall, where Town conducted the ensemble with other choirs and the New England Symphonic Ensemble.
