Northwest Missouri State University will not host its traditional Family Weekend activities this fall as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Family Weekend, which provides a weekend of entertainment, athletics and family fun each September, had been scheduled for Sept. 25-26. The Northwest Alumni Association’s Alumni Awards Banquet, a long-standing Family Weekend tradition, is rescheduled for Saturday, May 1.

The University also is reviewing its annual Homecoming activities, scheduled this year for Oct. 4-10, and will make an announcement regarding those events in coming weeks.

Northwest continues to evaluate all University-sponsored activities and is modifying or postponing events to help protect the health and safety of its community and prevent the spread of COVID-19. For more information about Northwest’s response to COVID-19, visit www.nwmissouri.edu/wellness/covid.
