Tourin’ Bearcats heading to Washington, D.C., Niagara Falls, New York in 2020

Northwest Missouri State University’s Tourin’ Bearcats, a travel program for alumni and friends, is now accepting reservations for its tour of
Washington, D.C., Niagara Falls and New York City next year.

The excursion is Aug. 21-29, 2020. The Northwest Alumni Association will host a travel preview night to provide more information about the trip at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the Michael L. Faust Alumni and Friends Center. RSVP to attend by calling 660.562.1112 or sending an email to Bob Machovsky, Northwest’s director of alumni relations and annual giving, at rmachov@nwmissouri.edu.  

“The Northwest Alumni Association travel program is excited to offer this trip as it allows Bearcats to travel with each other while staying connect to Northwest Alumni Association,” Machovsky said.

Highlights of the tour include a tour of Arlington National Cemetery, the Corning Museum of Glass, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

Prices begin at $2,999 per person and are subject to change. A deposit of $500 must be turned in with the reservation by Feb. 14, 2020. The final payment is due June 22, 2020.

The trip includes round trip airfare, transportation to and from Maryville to Kansas City, seven breakfasts, one lunch, three dinners and attractions.

Rates are based on double occupancy and departure from Kansas City International Airport. Trip insurance is available for purchase. Taxes and fees on airline tickets are subject to change until issued.

Tourin’ Bearcats programs, which are sponsored by the Northwest Alumni Association, are available to the public. Reservations are limited.
