Do the presentations/papers go through a review process?

  • The proposals go through a review process. The reviewers include members of our library teams including: Access Services, Archives, Collection Development, Research Services, and our Director.

Can more than one person present during the same 10-minute Lightning Round presentation?

  • No (due to the short presentation time).

As a vendor, can I submit a proposal for a presentation?

  • Only proposals from vendors submitted in conjunction with a librarian at an institution of higher education will be considered in the proposal evaluation process.

Will I have WiFi in my presentation area?

  • Yes.

How does one purchase print copies of the proceedings?

  • To order copies of previous years' proceedings, please visit Registration and select "Pay by Check" or "Pay by Credit or Debit Card"

As a presenter, is there a discount for attending the conference? If so, how is this applied?

  • Yes, the presenter fee is $100. If you are a presenter, mark "$100.00 presenter" in the Conference Registration Fees section of the form and send that amount with your registration.

Have I registered?

  • Registrants are notified by email upon the receipt of their registration.

How do I register after the deadline?

What is your policy on cancellations?

  • Cancellations must be made via email to Only cancellations received 10 working days before the date of the conference will result in a refund.  Substitutions are welcome at any time, just let us know before 1:00 pm of the Wednesday before the conference.

Is there handicapped parking near the Student Union (Conference Location)?

  • Yes, with your handicapped license plate or hang tag, handicapped parking is available in Lot 57 next to the Student Union (driving directions). If by chance all of the handicapped parking spaces in Lot 57 are full, please give us a call at 660.562.1193 and we will contact University Police to make other arrangements for you.

I need to leave before the shuttle, how do I get back to the parking lot?

  • Ask at the Registration Desk for directions back to Lot 59.

What if I get a parking ticket from Northwest Missouri State University?

Is there a shuttle from the Kansas City Airport to Maryville?

Are all of the meeting rooms in the same building?

  • Yes, all of the meeting rooms are on the third floor of the Student Union.

Will it be possible to take a tour of B.D. Owens Library?

  • Yes, please see the program agenda for the time and meeting place.

Where can I make photocopies?

  • In the event of an emergency, ask at the Registration Desk. Otherwise, please bring any presentation handouts or a URL where handouts can be accessed with you to the conference. Presentation and handouts are also posted to the Brick & Click Sched page. Please contact with handouts/presentations to post.

What are the networking opportunities at Brick & Click?

  • Networking opportunities include the Dine Around (Thursday evening prior to conference), breakfast, lunch, and break.

Is there recommended lodging for the conference?

I am a library science graduate student. How do I verify this to get the student rate?

  • Submit a letter of verification from your advisor or the dean of the program with your registration form.

Can I/we change the title of my/our presentation?

  • Title changes can be made for accepted presentations up to the copyright deadline. Once the copyright form is received, no changes may be made.
