To be accepted, students must have a minimum grade-point average of 2.0.

For students with a cumulative GPA below 2.0, consideration may be granted based on professional judgment, and acceptance may be granted on a probationary basis.

Joint Admission

Take the necessary courses while saving time and money.

Northwest is partnered with Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City to provide students the benefits of a Northwest student while earning an associate degree. The two schools partner together and obtain transcripts each semester, allowing students to quickly meet with an advisor and discuss degree audits.

Transferring Credit

Northwest will accept transfer credit from a regionally accredited institution on the following conditions:

  1. The course is not developmental or remedial in nature
  2. The course is not designed for vocational or technical credit (unless pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree)
