Complete the Standard Scholarship Application to apply for major-specific scholarships in CatPAWS after you are accepted. To be eligible for these scholarships, you much complete the Standard Scholarship Application by Feb. 1. Review Northwest additional scholarship information at nwmissouri.edu/finaid.
Northwest students receive more than $19 million in scholarships and grants annually.
Transfer Awards
Transfer Distinguished Scholarship
- Initial Requirements: 3.50 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours per academic year.
- Award: $2,500
- Maximum Award: Six semesters within consecutive academic years.
Transfer Academic Scholarship
- Initial Requirements: 3.30 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours per academic year.
- Award: $1,500
- Maximum Award: Six semesters within consecutive academic years.
Transfer Merit
- Initial Requirements: Renews to the University Scholarship program with completion of 24 credit hours per academic year and a Northwest cumulative GPA of 3.30.
- Award: $1,000 Maximum Award:
- Six semesters of Transfer Merit and 6 trimesters of University Scholarship.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
- Initial Requirements: 3.50 cumulative GPA in transfer, 24 transferable credit hours completed by time of application. Must be accepted for admission by May 1 and first-time student at Northwest, indicate Phi Theta Kappa membership on application.
- Award: $3500
- Notification to student by May 20, copy of Phi Theta Kappa certificate of membership
- Renewal Requirements: Minimum 3.50 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours per academic year.
- Maximum Award: Six semesters within consecutive academic years.
Bearcat Advantage
- Out-of-state students can earn IN-STATE rates through the Bearcat Advantage.
