Like any major employer, Northwest provides you the tools and technology you need to be successful.
If you have questions about our textbook or laptop programs, call 800.633.1175, text 660.541.1845 or visit us at nwmissouri.edu.
You will receive your textbooks and laptop prior to your first day of classes. Watch for email communication from Northwest-Kansas City.
Students pre-enrolled for the following fall term may keep the laptop computer during the summer for $75.
If desired, private insurance for your laptop is available through outside vendors.
All students are issued a personal laptop computer equipped with an AC adaptor. An ethernet cable is available by request. Northwest Computing Services provides maintenance and repair for University-issued computers at no cost to the student. Service and repairs are not provided on students personal machines.
Students will receive notification about when to pick up their textbooks through their Northwest email accounts. Textbooks will then be returned at the end of the semester at Northwest-Kansas City.

Northwest will accept transfer and high school dual credit from regionally accredited institutions. Credit may also be granted for satisfactory scores on College Board Advanced Placement Tests (AP), the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) examinations and the International Baccalaureate (IB). In order to receive credit, students must have official transcripts from the college or original score reports from the testing agency sent to the Office of Admissions.
Northwest does not award credit for all AP, CLEP or IB examinations. However, a current list of accepted credit may be found at https://www.nwmissouri.edu/admissions/apply/transfer/equivalencies.htm.
