Rich is from Charter Oak, Iowa and went to both undergrad and graduate school at Northwest Missouri State University. He married Cari Goldman in 1985 and they live in Omaha, Neb. They have four kids: Blake, Clare, Sam and Sophie and all four of them live in San Diego. Rich and Cari enjoy traveling in addition to spending summers at the Lake of the Ozarks. Rich enjoys sports and biking in RAGBRAI every year.
"I absolutely love the people and the culture. Bearcats are down-to-earth people that enjoy being around other people. There is also a grittiness to Bearcats as they always find a way to accomplish goals. The Northwest administration and staff make alumni feel like a big part of the school. I still keep in touch with TKE fraternity brothers as well as going to as many football and basketball games as possible. I simply love the Bearcats!"
